The 2018 summer concert series, brought to you by the Friends of Fort Macon, now in its 21st year. The Sunshine Band performs on May 25, 2018 from 6:30 – 8 p.m. All concerts at Fort Macon are free of charge (donations welcome!). Come early, bring a picnic basket (no alcohol or pets, please) and lawn chairs, and relax through another great summer evening in the parade ground at historic Fort Macon. Hope for the Warriors 5K & Fun Run/Walk @ The Inn at Pine Knoll Shores

Time: 8:00-9:00 AM
We kick off our Kayak for the Warrior activities by hosting a 5K Beach Run and 1K Fun Run/Walk. Runners will begin at the The Inn at Pine Knoll Shores, run down the beach, across Rt. 58 and through Beacon’s Reach and then return to the beach. The Fun Walk/Run will head down the beach
towards Indian Beach and return on the same route.

The Cape Lookout Lighthouse is open for climbing on Memorial Day Monday, May 28. Self-guided tours of up to 10 people* will begin every 15 minutes during the hours of operation. First climb starts at 10:15 a.m. and the last climb starts at 4 p.m. Normally Days Open: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday Closed: Monday & Tuesday Children must be at least 44 inches tall. Regular Admission $8, Children (12 and under; at least 44 inches tall) $4, Senior Pass (62 and over) $4. Ticket prices do not include cost of ferry transportation. Warning: Climbing the 207 steps to the gallery is roughly equal to climbing a 12-story building. The stairs are narrow and groups going up will share the stairs with groups returning to the bottom. The lighthouse may close at any time if conditions (temperature/humidity, lightning, or high winds) are determined unsafe.

The 58th annual walking tour of private Beaufort homes, gardens, churches and historic places is Friday, June 22nd and Saturday, June 23rd . Tickets are $20
